Are you our next Intern?
As our intern, your responsibilities will sit mainly within the Finance domain. You will focus on:
Working alongside the accounts team to gain thorough insight on key processes, requirements, and financial systems, utilized in recording periodic transactions at Riverflex
Assisting management in performing various ad-hoc projects or analysis such as financial performance impact analysis, financial models and reports, and variance analysis of actual and planned results
Supporting the HR & Finance Manager with funding matters, entering data, and defining and preparing annual budgeting plans
Assisting in the preparation and analysis of routine statements and external reports
Liaising with the people, marketing, and tech teams to provide financial and analytical support in coherence with budgeting plans
Assisting in the management of accounts payable and cash management processes
Reviewing journal entries and supporting documentation to ensure accurate reporting
Reviewing processes and propose recommendations for improvement
Conducting analyses of and helping to execute strategic profit improvement initiatives for business
Supporting the collection and payment of invoices and following up on due accounts
Supporting with the payroll function and managing external service providers

This is a paid internship, with an allowance of 500€/ month (full-time rate). Please note this will be a part-time role (3-4 days).
For this internship, you must:
Have a graduated from or are currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s program in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
Be available to work between 28-32 hours per week (hours are flexible and negotiable)
Possess knowledge of basic principles and practices in accounting and financial analysis
Be enthusiastic about digital and start-up life
Have an excellent command of English
Be eligible to work (or search for work) in the Netherlands
Be available for 4-6 months, preferably as soon as possible
Possess a highly analytical acumen and a mindset oriented on problem-solving
Be able to gather, evaluate, and interpret data
Be proactive and driven
Have excellent attention to detail
Experience in MS Excel (e.g., sum, if, finance functions, lookup, pivot tables, etc.)
Good command of Dutch
