Technical Payroll Analyst

We are looking for a Technical Payroll Analyst to join our growing Payroll team. This position is based remotely in Europe . This full-time position calls for an individual who understands the end to end payroll cycle from an intermediary perspective and has led the automation of such processes.
Serve as the subject matter expert for all aspects of payroll systems globally.
Lead the configuration and planning for new payroll integrations.
Analyze current systems, assess user requirements, develop procedures and correct automations issues along with improving existing systems globally
Implement and facilitate the administration of tools/programs to enhance workflow and payments to externally supported employees.
Coordinate and perform the lifecycle of assigned launch projects in compliance with Velocity Global’s launch methodology (i.e. Business Analysis, Summary of Business Rule Requirements, System Configuration, Data Mapping, Parallel Testing, Live Processing and Support Transition)
Provide analytical and design expertise; system configuration; data mapping; testing and support of live payroll processing
Meet project task milestones and due dates
Coordinate and oversee project tasks assigned to other internal resources, when applicable
Proactively communicate with payroll team to keep them apprised of project status and ensure they are on track with assigned responsibilities
Track, manage, and oversee resolution of open project issues/item
Partner with IT to explain, construct and implement payroll system requirements and revisions.
Provide client service, employee service and payroll team assistance solving payroll-related processes including but not limited to malfunctions of configured pay practices.
Assist with the development of reports and/or data extraction

BA/BS in Finance/Accounting or equivalent working experience required
5+ years’ experience in a senior analyst or higher HRIS and/or Payroll analytics
Business proficiency in the English language required
3-5 years of Payroll Implementation Experience – either from a payroll service and/or system perspective, as well as associated ongoing maintenance.
2 years’ experience in a matrixed, multi-site organization
Demonstrated advanced skills in Excel and/or database application, applying excellent analytical techniques; Proficient with Word and PowerPoint.
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Must demonstrate critical thinking skills and initiative through individual research and drive
Ability to maintain a strict level of confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion, sound judgment, and diplomacy
Must be able to work independently and within a team
