Social Media and Content Specialist
About the Role
We are recruiting a digital marketing specialist to cover a period of family leave, working alongside our amazing colleagues and teams at Newcastle Building Society.
Reporting to the Digital Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for digital content strategy and implementation on our forthcoming new Newcastle.co.uk website, including developing a content calendar, commissioning new evergreen web content and heading up our cross-divisional Content Working Group.
With the support of the Social Media and Content Coordinator, whom you will line manage, you execute an engaging programme of social media activity, creating engaging content for our social channels and websites to help us to increase the reach and effectiveness of our digital communications. The role will work closely with all areas of marketing, including product marketing and our corporate communications team.
We are looking for candidates who will bring their passion, experience and skills to help us to develop an effective and engaging website, with first class content. You will be a customer focused, highly creative marketer who has impeccable verbal and written communication skills.
You will have had previous experience of managing websites from a content perspective, understanding what makes engaging content and an impactful experience. You’ll have extensive experience in working on website CMS (experience of headless CMS an advantage) and in creating effective web copy and content – and in helping others to do so! The ability to multi-task, collaborate effectively and manage a high volume of work is also essential.
Ideally you will have financial services experience and have proven experience of implementing and managing digital content and websites at a high level. The ability to multi-task, collaborate effectively and manage a high volume of work is also essential.
