Senior Test Engineer
We’re open to hearing from London-based or fully/partially remote candidates, as we work from everywhere (within GMT +/- 2 hours).

Technology Team at Bloom & Wild
The overall Bloom & Wild team is now over 300 people. You will join one of our core squads in our Technology team, each consisting of a small, close-knit team of developers, a product manager, engineering manager and a tester. Squads work closely with their Business counterpart team on solutions that accelerate growth both within and outside our UK core business.
Squads' focus areas include:
Building a new multi-brand subscriptions solution to support our international customer base
Maintaining and then migrating our existing subscription offerings to the new subscriptions engine
Supporting our broader strategy tech strategy and business wide OKRs

The role and ways of working
Responsibilities will include:
We’re looking for someone with automated testing experience to set up automation testing for the backend flows of the subscription service being/to be built in the squad
Working with the developers in the squad to understand the most valuable flows to automate
Developing a solid foundation/architecture using best practices to automate testing of backend flows of the subscriptions platform.
You’ll be an innovative thinker who can identify problems, opportunities and solutions.
You’ll make sure repeatable, constant and consistent quality is built into all phases of the idea to value lifecycle at reduced cost or reduced time to market.
Designing and creating a low maintenance suit of stable, reusable automated tests which are usable both within the product or domain and across domains and systems.
Eye for detail and spotting and fixing false negative and positive tests.
Experience of building an automated framework (from scratch) against a codebase which is maintainable and accessible for engineers at all levels to pick up
Ecommerce experience with your automation testing.
Mentoring/teaching experience to share your knowledge and implementation with the technology team including developers and testers.
Manual testing skills for areas that cannot be automated
Experience testing APIs and databases
Experience with microservices architecture
Enjoy collaboration with developers and other testers
Passionate about the work you do
Worked in an agile environment using both Scrum and Kanban
Keen to learn
It would be great if you also have…
Experience in subscription flows alongside your ecommerce experience
Experience with exploratory testing
Experience working in a fast-growing company
Currently the majority of our teams are still working from home. However, in line with government restrictions, we are gradually opening up our beautiful, flower filled office again - for teams to use as much or as little as they’d like. We continue not to expect people to come in as a norm, though managers may ask teams to come in for specific reasons (unless you are a fully remote worker).
Our plan moving forward is to continue to find ways of incorporating remote work into our daily, business as usual, ways of operating. And we have no expectation that our teams will need to come into the office 5 days per week again.
