The role 👩💻
What you'll be working on
Oyster is growing fast, and we are looking for a hands-on Senior FP&A Manager who will work closely with senior management to increase our efficiency by assisting with the formulation of both the medium and long-term financial plan.
Working closely with senior management to formulate the business’s medium to long term financial and strategic plan
Work with departments heads to build their annual budgets and forecasts
Analyzing financial and operational results to better understand company performance
Preparing business cases to support new investment, strategic and other business decisions
Provide insights to senior management around financial modeling, forecasts and profitability
Driving and executing all monthly, quarterly financial, management and investor related reporting
Evaluating previous budgets, expenditures to develop and implement future budgets
Drive a joined up approach throughout the business to ensure cross department clarity in communications
Continually developing and improving the analysis and reporting systems in use
Communicating complex problems and analysis to non technical teams
You have at least 3 years experience of working in a FP&A role (with at least 1 of these being in a senior role)
Experience in software/Saas industry
You have prior experience of working at a high-growth scale-up, or in a fast-changing environment
Advanced computer skills, including writing macros in Excel and other accounting packages
You have excellent attention to detail, are very logical and love problem solving
You continually seek process improvement and can leverage systems, software, and automation tools to achieve this
Driven by the social impact mission and desire to use skills to influence global change and employment opportunities
Based in time zone GMT +/-5h or PDT +/-5h
Nice to haves:
Proficient in Google Suite of products (Gmail, Google Doc, Google Sheets)
Experience of looker or similar BI Analytics tool
Advanced excel skills make life easier
Positive and pro-active attitude
A good sense of humor and willingness to assist others no matter how small the task
