Learning Technology Manager

About the role:
At Kraken we are building out our world class learning experience for our Krakenites (employees of Kraken) company-wide. Our learning team requires creative people who aren’t afraid to cast aside established ways of doing things to create entirely new, delightful experiences for our internal learning community. Our enterprise Learning team is looking for a strategic, results-driven Learning Technology Manager with a passion for driving learning outcomes. This is an exciting new opportunity to help us deliver highly personalized and scalable learning at Kraken. The ideal candidate is consultative in their approach, and has proven experience on a learning team, managing learning technology systems (i.e. LMS), and external learning solutions for a global organization. You’ll will play a significant role in ensuring that our learning technology supports operational efficiency, cross-functional needs and scales with the future growth of our business.
Responsible for data analytics team, and all metrics and reporting for learning company wide.
What you'll do:
Lead the organization, cataloguing, maintenance, administration plan and reporting surrounding Kraken’s current and future learning management system ("LMS")
Partner with the People Systems team and Learning SME’s across Kraken to create the global learning technology strategy and drive the formation of a learning ecosystem roadmap
Consult with curriculum, assessment, instructional design teams and subject matter experts to understand learning needs, ensure a successful learner experience and support achievement of desired learning outcomes
Maintain LMS standards, including content inclusion, ownership and lifecycle policies
Develop procedures, guidelines, conventions, and criteria related to course properties, set-up and structures
Create and maintain standards to ensure that all administrators and stakeholders are using the LMS in a consistent and uniform way, which in turn improves its usability and manageability
Train and coach admins, users and super users to utilize learning technology
Exhibit people management and team building skills, including the ability to develop and coach staff level professionals, ability to provide actionable and compassionate feedback and coaching
Who you are:
5+ years experience working with learning technologies (e.g. LMS, LXP, LRS, etc.), preferably in a high-growth company
Experience working within L&D and/ or other learning organizations with understanding of learning design, delivery and instruction
Strong knowledge of xAPI, SCORM and AICC standards
Experience managing and maintaining accessibility standards within systems and technology
5+ years of experience in managing complex projects involving instructional technology, instructional and/or user experience design, and LMS administration
Strong stakeholder management and relationship building skills
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
Experience partnering on enterprise technology implementations and solutions
Outstanding influencing and communication skills, including strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
Knowledge and experience with data analytics tools (e.g. Tableau, MS Excel, etc.)
Proven initiative, positive attitude, team-oriented, self-motivated and highly enthusiastic
Ability to thrive and adapt in a fast-paced and evolving virtual environment
