Developer Advocate

As a Developer Advocate, you'll promote standards and good development practices by actively engaging with developer communities, raising awareness of the company's developer-centric activities, and guiding and educating those developers. In this role, you will interact with the most innovative engineers inside and outside of Syntropy every day. Developer Advocacy requires people with technical backgrounds who can also communicate and empathize with developers who are building on the Syntropy Platform.

You will write code samples, present demos, and technical walkthroughs, write articles and tutorials to promote and highlight a wide range of technology stacks, produce video content, help our community learn how to use and build on our platform, as well as participate in developer forums and support queues to troubleshoot and debug coding problems developers encounter. You will advocate internally for the developer community's needs, working with the product and engineering teams to influence features and technology strategy.

Main responsibilities will be:

Preparing and showcasing videos, tutorials, and webinars to walk through common product discovery scenarios with which third-party developers may be tasked and to engage technical audiences at scale.
Help product engineering teams improve developer products through feedback from the community, developers, reviewing API designs, and testing features.

Respond to and address questions & support requests from customers and collaborators, or redirect to the appropriate persons or team.

Writing code samples and demos that third-party developers can utilize and follow.
Work with tech writers and other developer relations engineers to help align content to the overall product narrative.

Plan product launches and manages the cross-functional implementation of the plan.
Identify hurdles to developer onboarding, and collaborate with the core teams to discuss and prioritize related improvements.

Draft and revise documentation to ensure developers are successful on the platform.
Requirements:

Experience with developer relations and developer support.
Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills as well as native or proficient level of English language skills. Experience speaking at conferences, developer summits, or virtual events.A technical background, and experience presenting to a technical audience. Experience creating high-quality developer-facing content across multiple formats, such as documentation, blog posts, videos, demos, and code samples to synthesize and simplify technical concepts for technical and non-technical audiences.

Bonus skills: DevOps, Docker, Networking, and Blockchain experience is nice to have.
Ability to learn new skills quickly, adapt to quickly changing environments, plan and execute with minimal supervision, with a sense of responsibility, autonomy, and discipline.
