The Strategic Pricing and Commercialization team is responsible for developing and implementing SAP’s commercial strategy, including pricing / commercializing SAP innovation (e.g. RISE with SAP), adjusting commercial policies for existing offerings in line with market dynamics, and operationalizing SAP pricing policies.

The RISE Commercial Lead ensures that the RISE with SAP portfolio supports SAP’s strategy, growth, and margin targets. The role is responsible for ideation, strategic planning, and execution of RISE commercialization and business model evolution in addition to supporting other Global Pricing strategic projects as needed.
Translates the RISE strategy into concrete objectives for SAP Pricing & Commercialization. Plans and develops pricing concepts, policies, models, and processes to achieve desired business outcomes, and oversees the related implementation & change management activities to realize commercial goals.
Drives overall transformation of RISE commercial models and solution areas towards a SaaS & cloud mindset
Develops SAP’s commercial strategy and policies as part of the team
Develops and implements pricing strategies, based on corporate strategy, economic, and competitive dynamics
Ideates and executes innovative commercial models
Leads global, cross-functional project teams in structuring and executing analysis required to drive pricing execution
Drives continuous improvement of SAPs solution LEP pricing through researching and benchmarking market conditions and competition
Builds and maintains strategic partnerships with key decision-makers internally and externally
Ensures that core commercial processes such as annual price updates, RISE pricing and publication, and RISE contract framework maintenance meet objectives and run efficiently with constant improvement
Closely collaborates with Commercial Finance, Controlling, Solution Leadership, Process & IT, and the Global Head of Pricing and Business Models in the Marketing & Solution Board Area
Acts as the operational link between the company’s overall strategy and achieving business results
Realization of multiple high impact initiatives towards broad corporate goals
Ensures understanding, trust, and open cooperation on management level and below through effective and appropriate communication
Optimizes communication style according to different stakeholders, situation, and medium
Communicates unpleasant messages in a timely and constructive manner
Minimum 10 years of experience in Finance, Accounting, Pricing and/or Sales Operations / Sales Support in a cloud technology environment
Experience: 6-12 years in Top Management Consulting and/or IT/SW industry or relevant functional experience related to operational responsibility, including project / functional leadership positions
Strong Financial / Pricing, Field Support and Project Management Experience
Ability to build strong relationships across all Board areas
Executive presence and communication skills
Experience in implementing new business models and tools from a commercial and operational perspective
Extensive experience using diplomacy to influence senior, highly-diversified matrix teams
Proven ability to plan proactively, anticipate issues and manage teams through aggressive timelines and high-stress situations
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
BS Degree; MBA preferred
Proven ability to lead and build strong relationships at every level of the organization and to motivate and influence individuals beyond his/her direct field of control
Superior interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to support complex transactions under pressure
Ability to operationalize and continuously improve cross-functional processes and commercial setup in large organizations
Excellent executive presence with exceptional skill in C-level communication
Well-connected within the SAP organization (preferred)
Dedication to customer/organization success.
Fluent in English
North America or Europe preferred
